Our Programs
As an equine welfare organization, we often find that there are areas within the community where we may be able to assist. Tiny Acres NWFL is proud to offer intake programs from owner surrender and law enforcement assisted as well as Community Horse Adoptions for community equines whose owners are seeking a new home for their beloved equines due to health or other unforeseen circumstances. We also provide feed and hay assistance to our community which in turn helps to keep horses with their owners instead of in rescue. Our goal as a rescue organization is to provide our community with the resources that they need to succeed as horse owners while also providing a safe place for horses in immediate need of intervention.
Horses from Hospice
Horses from Hospice is a program that we created in 2019 to help ease the transition of beloved horses of owners who are either too ill to care for their horse[s], going into hospice care, or recently deceased. The goal of Horses from Hospice is to keep beloved horses from auctions and the slaughter pipeline due to the owners' passing or inability to properly care for their horses during a health crisis. We accept new intakes into the Horses from Hospice program as space and funding allows.
Community Horse Adoption
Many horses do not require rescue but are in search of the next forever home. We are happy to assist responsible horse owners with the placement of their horses. With our Community Horse Adoption Application, we can provide the same vetting process that we utilize for Tiny Acres NWFL adoptable horses. This program offers horse owners with the ease of mind in the transition from home to home. Since 2021 we have helped place 14 horses into wonderful homes.
Feed Assistance
Tiny Acres NWFL provides feed and hay assistance to local community horse owners throughout the year. Our goal for the feed assistance program is to aid responsible owners by keeping their beloved horses in their current homes and out of rescue. If you require feed assistance, please contact us.
